• Dueling Dubs: The first season (episodes 1-26) seems to have two separate English dubs (albeit with most of the same script) depending on if you're watching from YouTube or Netflix. Neither dub is exactly good, as they both suffer from poor direction and Hong Kong Dub. (As mentioned below, this means that watching season 2 (episodes 27-52) right after season 1 from YouTube results in sounding like The Other Darrin, as the season 2 dub for both Netflix and YouTube are the same)
• Follow the Leader: This show as a whole seems to be South Korea’s animated answer to the successful Japanese Super Sentai series (known in the West as Power Rangers ), as well as the joint American-Japanese (it’s complicated) Transformers franchise (probably to cash in on the Michael Bay film franchise), with a cute critter element added to the mix. Funny since this show's home country, South Korea, got Korean-dubbed versions of both Super Sentai and Power Rangers at different points in time.
  • There's an element of cultural jingoism to this as well. Due to certain historic events, Japanese pop culture has often been regarded with suspicion in South Korea. So South Korean TV and film studios sometimes attempt to produce "domestic" alternatives.
• He Also Did: SAMG, the production company behind Miniforce, has contributed to Miraculous Ladybug (mainly a Zagtoon and Toei Animation production), and did outsourcing work for OuiDo/Sega’s Sonic Boom cartoon.
• Similarly Named Works: A case of this happened with the show's release in China. The official translated mainland Chinese title of Miniforce is rendered "最强战士：迷你特工队" (pronounced "Zuìqiáng Zhànshì: Mínǐ Tègōngduì"). Meanwhile, there is a completely unrelated 1983 low-budget Hong Kong action film that's also titled "迷你特工队" in Chinese, known in English as Fantasy Mission Force. ^note Though it's interesting to note that if the Korean title of Miniforce were written in the old hanja system, it would be thus written "最強戰士 미니特攻隊", so the Chinese title is a close translation of the original Korean meaning
• The Other Darrin: The season 2 cast was completely swapped from the previous season if you're watching from YouTube. On top of that, the season 2 cast redubbed season 1 for Netflix streaming (but not for YouTube). Then they swapped the English cast yet again for the movie prequel. Not the case with the original Korean version's cast, which is consistent throughout both seasons and the movie.
