• Deleted Scene:
  • The original Indonesian cut was reportedly 25 minutes longer, containing more scenes of Yuda with his family at the beginning to set up the drama. There were also scenes developing other characters of the movie.
  • There cut had also a scene that bridges Eric's appearances in the movie, which director Evans resisted to cut but was eventually forced to. In it, after they get out of their bus ride, Yuda follows Eric to an abandoned building that turns out to be an underground fight club, where Eric beats up a bruiser for money and tries to convince Yuda to join him in the business. Yuda refuses, stating he didn't undergo merantau to hurt others, and walks away in disgust. This scene (part of which you can watch here) was cut out for most of the releases due to time constraints.
  • There was also more introspective scenes of the like, such as one with Adit asking Yuda to teach him silat, only for Yuda, not very enthusiastic about the whole thing anymore, refuse on the grounds that Adit might end up using it to become a thug.
• Write Who You Know: Director Evans based Ratger's lines on the the actor's own speeching patterns, as Evans and Mads Koudal were long time friends and he thought it would help Mads to fit in the role.
