Trivia / Mega Man Zero 3

  • Dummied Out: The e-Reader content was fully translated from Japanese and still functions in the international versions, but it's impossible to get without hacking. The game's re-releases make it available by default.
  • Fan Translation: Childre Inarabitta and Omega have playable English-dubbed fights thanks to an Easter Egg in the fandub for Mega Man ZX.
  • Pop-Culture Urban Legends: Due to the discrepancy between Zero's Mega Man X series design and Omega's design, there are rumors that Omega was originally planned to use the X series Zero design, before the developers changed him to just resemble the Zero series Zero. These were compounded by alleged concept art of Zero's X design in the style of artist Toru Nakayama. However, this rumor had no basis in reality, since said concept art was only fanart from Pixiv; the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection revealed some official Omega concept art that still bears a close resemblance to Zero's new design.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Young, middle-aged, and elderly designs were drafted for Dr. Weil before they settled on the elderly look. The young design had a Mini-Mecha that gave him a deceptively imposing silhouette, while the middle-aged design had a hairstyle resembling Dr. Wily's.
    • Omega's second form would have been much more active (for example, actually using its BFS) if not for GBA's graphics limitations.
    • The series was originally meant to end with the third game, with Dark Elf now free, X finally retiring into Cyberspace, and Omega being destroyed for good. Thankfully, they changed the Post-Script Season that is Zero 4 into an epic Grand Finale (though with some Fridge Logics here and there).
    • There are many unused Mutos Reploid designs. Some that made it to concept art feature mythological inspirations such as: Abbadon (Bible), Horus (Egypt), Cikap-kamuy (Ainu), a basilisk (Europe), a centaur (Greece), a griffon (Greece), a manticore (Persia), an apsara (India), and a qilin (China). There were also some without confirmed mythological inspirations, such as a pig, a sheep, and a trio of crustacean brothers. Some designs were Refitted for Sequel too, such as a mandrake, minotaur, and butterfly who were all reworked into bosses for Zero 4.
    • Similar to how Copy X was initially intended to be X himself, Omega was intended to be the original Zero Brainwashed and Crazy, and The Reveal would be that, instead of being in an imitation body, you yourself were an imitation of him, a sort of "Copy Zero". This was changed after the Executive Meddling that gave birth to Mega Man X6, since Zero's sudden revival would have turned this into a plot hole.
