Trivia / Mega Man V

  • Cut Song: Within the game's code is an alternate "game clear" fanfare, as well as three tracks that go unused in the final game. What they would have been used for is unknown, though their placement in the tracklist suggests one was an early version of Venus's stage, while another would have been used for a mini-stage preceding Terra.
  • Game Mod: Done as a "What If?" Updated Re-release, a fan-made patch gives the game color graphics, removes slowdowns, and reworks the pause screen to look like the NES Mega Man games.
  • Science Marches On: When the game was made, Pluto was not yet considered a dwarf planet, hence the presence of a boss representing it. Additionally, he is listed as SRN-008 (coming before Neptune), as Pluto's orbit at the time of development temporarily put it closer to the sun than Neptune.
