- B-Team Sequel: Of another B-Team Sequel, amusingly. Instead of outsourcing the game to Minakuchi Engineering (the developer of the previous game), Capcom decided to give the project over to Thinking Rabbit Inc.. The lackluster quality to the game lead to Capcom returning to Minakuchi for the following Game Boy entries.
- Creator Backlash: Keiji Inafune has said that he considers this the worst Mega Man game produced on his watch.
