- Bad Export for You: The region 1 DVD release used the censored TV TOKYO broadcast versions of the episodes, instead of the uncensored laserdisc versions.
- Crossdressing Voices: Ranchiki was voiced by the now retired Yuka Imai in Japanese and by Mirm Kriegel (and later Ashley Albert) in English.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Where to begin? In Japan, the series was only released on VHS and laserdisc, never on DVD. The Region 1 DVDs have been out of print for years now since Central Park Media kicked the bucket, and Episode 26 was only released in Japan... And, much like the movie adaption of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, the MAZE movie was never released to home video (most likely because it tanked in the box office). Oh, and said movie's original print is rumored to have been lost during a flood.
- The uncensored laserdisc version is this due to JVC losing the masters, this resulted in the region 1 DVD release using the censored broadcast version instead, luckily in recent years, torrents for the uncensored laserdisc version (as well as episode 26) now exist.
- No Export for You: Episode 26, which is Hotter and Sexier than the rest of the show.
- Also, the laserdisc version.
- The Other Darrin: In the dub, Ranchiki's actress changed from Mirm Kriegel (credited as "Mirm") to Ashley Albert (under the pseudonym "Echo") starting with episode 17.
- Those Two Actors: Tomokazu Seki and Sakura Tange later voiced Touya and Sakura Kinomoto in Cardcaptor Sakura.
- Tomokazu Seki and Kotono Mitsuishi have also worked together in Those Who Hunt Elves, Gundam Seed Destiny, Great Teacher Onizuka, Pretty Cure All Stars note and Neon Genesis Evangelion (and by proxy Rebuild).
- Tomokazu Seki and the late Unshō Ishizuka would later work together on Real Bout High School.
- Kotono Mitsuishi and the now retired Yuka Imai later worked together on Revolutionary Girl Utena and Suite Pretty Cure ♪.
