• Acting for Two: Lee Byung-hun as Gwanghae and Ha-sun.
• Completely Different Title: The Korean title means "Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King".
• What Could Have Been: When the film was first announced it had the title I am the King of Joseon, was going to be directed by Kang Woo-suk, and would have starred Jung Jae-young and Yoo Jun-sang. Several cases of Creative Differences later, it was renamed and had a new director and new stars.
