- Hypothetical Casting: The author's blog posts pertaining to the story indulge in this for the more original characters. According to him, the voices would include:
- Nicole Karrer, who voiced Illuminata in Rune Factory 4, as Ebony Evening.
- Candi Milo's Ophelia voice aged up by a decade, for Gray Ghost.
- Arryn Zech as Red vs. Blue's Dr. Grey for the off-her-rocker Drama Heart.
- Michael Rosenbaum as Turkey Bowl.
- Laura Post's Blizzard voice for the vindictive socialite Alexandrite.
- 1990's-era David Hasselhoff or a close equivalent for Gray's husband, Ocean Guard.
- Tara Strong's Ben Tennyson voice for Pure Energy.
- A younger version of Tracy Grandstaff's Daria voice for the near-emotionless Fiver.
- Dee Dee for the ditzy Limefrost Spiral.
- Boa Marigold's voice (combined with an earthquake) for Bossa Nova.
- Osmosis Jones as Trifecta.
- A slightly deeper version of Ursula's voice for Metallium.
- A combination of the Engineer and Sniper's voices for Glintlock.
- William Afton as Cocoa Mocha.
- Morgan Berry, who voiced the Yellow Ranger in the latter's only DEATH BATTLE! appearance, as Caramel and Hazelnut Mocha.
- Harley Quinn or Withered Chica as the deranged illusionist Illudere.
- Felina Feral as Officer Coffee-and-Cream.
- Yukari Tanizaki as Calico Driftwood.
- Early 1960s Bob Newhart as Bushwhacker.
- In addition to these, the author has imagined Leviathan—who to date has never had an English voice—as sounding similar to Sash Lilac. On a related note, he imagines Pinny Lane—who never said a word during her (very brief) appearances on the show proper—to sound like Botan from YuYu Hakusho.
- Non-Singing Voice: Leviathan claims to have one of these, stating that her attempts at singing are more akin to recordings in that she can only imitate others. Perhaps alluding to MLP: FiM's heavy usage of this trope, Drama Heart tells her that when it comes to heartsongs, that's the last thing she needs to worry about.
- What Could Have Been: In the notes for "Day Three, Part Three: Illudere", the author states that the lead-up to her battle was planned to be much different the year before the chapter was worked on. Instead of attacking Leviathan at Median Park with no lead-up other than Pure Energy escaping her clutches, she would've instead used one of the Crown Jewels to hypnotize most of the city. Drama Heart would then break the hypnosis with an equally powerful heartsong, resulting in the inevitable conflict.
