• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The English translation of this manga was formerly licensed by Viz Communications (now known as Viz Media), and has been long out of print since the late 90s. Though you can purchase a used copy online, prices can range from reasonable to surprisingly exhorbitant.
• What Could Have Been: There were plans for a live-action film in The '90s to be directed by Tim Burton with music duo Sparks writing the screenplay, producing it and composing the music. However, Burton eventually dropped out in favor of Ed Wood, and the film rights expired. Several other directors have flirted with an adaptation, and Sparks has continued to express interest in seeing their version made, with Russell Mael noting "The music is all ready and we are hoping that this still might see the light of day" in 2009.
