- Acting for Two: Though credited for voicing Suguru, Fujiko Takimoto also voices Guri, the Misato residence's dog.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: In the Japanese version, Suguru is played by the female Fujiko Takimoto.
- Directed by Cast Member: Tony Oliver was the English dub's ADR director as well as the voice of Suguru Misato's adult self.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The manga's English translations went out of print after Tokyopop's 2011 shutdown.

- The Japanese home media rights have been owned by NBCUniversal since the 2008 buyout of Pioneer LDC/Geneon from Dentsu.
- The North American releases were initially handled by Pioneer Entertainment. Following their 2007 shutdown, the rights were picked up by Sentai Filmworks.
- You Sound Familiar: Nobutoshi Canna narrated the first and tenth episodes of the first season and would later go on to voice Suguru Misato's older self at the end of Something More Beautiful.
