• Acting for Two:
  • Kei Minegishi voices the twin brothers Theo and Xao.
  • When he's not fighting with Delta Squadron as part of the Aerial Knights, Ryōhei Kimura is busy fixing up their variable fighters.
  • In the Absolute Live movie, the Yami_Q_ray shared the same voice actresses as Walkure.
• Actor Allusion:
  • This is not the first time for Reina to be an Idol Singer.
    • Also not first time being called ReiRei.
  • No wonder why Messer doesn't know how popular he is.
  • Mirage was also a mecha pilot in another world. Ditto Hayate, though his is more of the scale model variety.
  • Arad Mölders already flied a Cool Plane before.
• Defictionalization: Walküre is now a legit group, with Minori Suzuki and JUNNA as its lead singers (but not as their characters though but themselves), with Kiyono Yasuno, Nozomi Nishida and Nao Touyama (Kaname, Makina and Reina respectively) as its members too, similar to Fire Bomber before it.^note However, Fire Bomber quickly broke apart, Yoshiyuki Fukuyama having other commitments like being part of JAM Project. Walküre have managed to release several songs from Delta with all Macross references removed, and have done a few songs that aren't Macross-related.
• Irony as She Is Cast: KENN, Bogue's voice actor, is rather well known for his singing and frequently gets roles which includes either singing in-series or getting character songs, even having a professional band of his own. Cue this series (in a franchise built on The Power of Rock), and Bogue doesn't sing a note, outside of a few seconds during Absolute Live, where he can be heard joining the rest of Windemere in singing alongside Freyja.
• Late Export for You:
  • Delta didn't see a legal release in the West for years, due to the legal disputes of several licensing companies ^note More on the issue on the Anime & Manga page on No Export For You. However, not only does the Japanese Blu-ray release have English subtitles, so fans in the West can now legally obtain an officially translated version (but with another trope included), but in July 2022 it also became one of three TV series in the franchise that wasn't incorporated into Robotech to be offered on home video outside Japan for the first time (the others being Macross Frontier and Macross 7), due to a settlement being reached where most of the Macross TV series and films can now be distributed internationally the year before.
  • On a (rather logical) note, this means that Delta has suffered from this a good bit less than many of its franchise-mates; it was "only" a bit more than half a decade old when the announcement was made, and really, Absolute Live!!!!!! wasn't even nine months old at the time (and AL!!!!!! was teased heavily for a near-future release when the TV license announcement was made). For Macross, this is practically sprightly.
• Non-Singing Voice: While most of Walkure's voice actresses do their own singing, Mikumo has separate speaking and singing voices (Ami Koshimizu and JUNNA, respectively).
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Due to the passing of Unshō Ishizuka in 2018, the staff decided to not feature Ernest in the Absolute Live movie.
• Role Reprise: Show Hayami and Ryuusuke Obayashi reprise their roles as Max Jenius and Exsedol in the Absolute Live movie.
• Star-Making Role: For Minori Suzuki and in the singing department, JUNNA.
• What Could Have Been: The one confirmed plan from the earlier drafts of the series that was revealed by Shoji Kawamori included a complete lack of a Love Triangle, a major departure from the rest of the franchise. The movie version of events largely disposes of the triangle to focus on Hayate and Freyja.
