- Acting for Two: In French, Roger Carel voiced several characters, including Mathias Bones, the vulture accompanying Bones and the Cavalry Lieutenant.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Specifically pertains to an Afrikaans dub of the film from 1989/1990. With the exception the female singing voices, all of the speaking cast are, for some reason, male and the female characters' voices are noticeably falsetto (this includes the main dance-hall singer's one non-singing line). Oddly, it added to the charm of the dub which was very good in all other respects. The dub of the animated series (mostly with the same cast) averted this by actually having female voice actors.
- Dueling Dubs: Following the success of both Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure and The Daltons in Italy, this film and Ballad of the Daltons were redubbed in 2015 with the new voice cast from the aforementioned film and series.
- Self-Adaptation: Morris and René Goscinny co-directed this film. And Goscinny wrote it.
