• What Could Have Been: The episode was originally intended to be Sawyer-centric with the flashbacks about a con job he pulled. Early press releases reported this, and Jolene Blalock was cast and even shot a few scenes. However, the writers realized it wasn't working and quickly shifted the episode to focus on Michael. Kevin Dunn was also cast as Sawyer's partner, though he later appeared in "The Long Con," which seems to have used some of the elements intended for this episode.
