• Creator Backlash: Damon Lindelof at one point claimed this to be his least favorite episode of the entire show, even going so far as calling it worse than "Stranger In A Strange Land" (though he is known to flip-flop on which of the two were his actual least favorite).
• What Could Have Been: A deleted scene showed Locke fighting Ethan, which explains his limp during the final fight. According to William Mapother, Ethan was supposed to break through the perimeter to get Claire. Locke would fight him and stab him in the thigh before getting knocked out, and then he would find Claire and fight Jack.
