  • The Cast Showoff: Verónica Castro sang the novela's opening song.
  • Dye Hard: Edith González had her hair color dyed from blonde to brunette only to be dyed back to blonde to make her look more like the protagonist's daughter. González, who was a natural blonde, remembered it as "one of the cruelest things" one can do to a natural blonde. González theorized that the odd decision was because the reveal that her character Marisabel wasn't Mariana's biological daughter, but Miss Joanna Smith's, wasn't the original plan for her character, since Mariana is a brunette and Joanna is a blonde.
  • Fake American: Miss Joanna Smith is played by the Argentine Christian Bach. Despite speaking in Spanglish, her strong Argentine accent is still very noticeable.
  • Star-Making Role:
    • The telenovela put Verónica Castro on the map.
    • María Isabel "Marisabel" Salvatierra was Edith González's big break.
  • Underage Casting:
    • Edith González was 14 playing María Isabel as a 18-year-old.
    • Christian Bach was 20 playing Miss Joanna Smith, who was María Isabel's biological mother. She was only 5 years older than María Isabel's actress.
  • What Could Have Been: Edith González theorized that the reveal that her character Marisabel wasn't Mariana's biological daughter, but Miss Joanna Smith's, wasn't the original plan for her character, and that that is why she went through the strange decision of having her hair dyed from her natural blonde to brunette (like Mariana's) only to be dyed back to blonde (like Joanna's).
