• Real Life Writes the Plot: In season 2, Daphne replaces Avery as the con artist targeting Lodge 49, as Tyson Ritter was busy filming the final season of Preacher (2016).
• Voice-Only Cameo: Throughout Season One, Ernie listens to an audiobook by fictional author L. Marvin Metz, voiced by an uncredited Paul Giamatti. Averted in Season Two when Metz shows up in the flesh, played by Giamatti in several episodes.
• Write What You Know: Series creator Jim Gavin has lived in Long Beach, worked as a plumbing salesman and when his parents' house was foreclosed during the recession, he even squatted in it like Dud does early in the show.
