Trivia / Lockwood & Co.

Go To

  • Creator-Driven Successor: To Stroud's The Bartimaeus Trilogy. Both take place in alternate-universe Britain shaped by supernatural forces originating from some sort of alternate reality; both feature teenager protagonists operating within their societies' often-corrupt power structures. The characters are also somewhat similar: Lucy bears more than a passing resemblance to Kitty, while the skull (a captured spiritual entity who nominally seeks to harm the protagonists but more often than not ends up helping them) talks and behaves almost exactly like Bartimaeus. Lockwood, while a lot nicer, has some traits in common with Nathaniel, especially in appearance and vanity (both are fond of long impractical coats and too-tight suits, and pay too much attention to their hair).
  • The Other Darrin: The audiobook releases have had three different narrators - Miranda Raison for The Screaming Staircase, Katie Lyons for The Whispering Skull and Emily Bevan for all subsequent titles: The Hollow Boy, The Creeping Shadow and The Empty Grave.
