Trivia / Little Einsteins

Go To

  • Adored by the Network: The show is one of Disney Junior's flagship shows ever since it premiered. It's justified as the show was Playhouse Disney's first animated hit. Reruns also continued for nearly a decade after the series ended its run.
  • Amateur Cast: The four voice actors for the Little Einsteins were simply local New York-based talent and haven't done much since. Harrison Chad, the singer for Leo, is the only one with multiple notable acting credits, most notably Boots the Monkey.
  • Children Voicing Children: The four main characters are voiced by then-child actors.
  • Dawson Casting: Natalia Wojcik was 8 when she started voicing 4-year-old Annie.
  • He Also Did: The Curious Pictures that worked on Little Einsteins is the same Curious Pictures of Codename: Kids Next Door fame.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The Rocket's Firebird Rescue special is currently not available on Disney+, so the only legal way to watch it is on the Rocket's Firebird Rescue DVD.
  • Licensed Game: It had two such games — one for the Game Boy Advance, and one for VTech's V.Smile.
  • Non-Singing Voice: Leo's singing was done by Harrison Chad.
  • The Other Darrin: In the show's UK dub, Leo and Annie were originally voiced by Piers Stubbs and Elle McHugh for the first season, but when the second season began, they were replaced by Daniel Culleton and Kirsty Hickey, respectively.
  • Tie-In Cereal: General Mills made a Little Einsteins cereal, with the cereal pieces shaped like stars and fruit flavored.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • According to various trademarks, the show was originally going to focus on the existing Baby Einstein characters.
    • The earliest designs were much more simplified then what we got, and instead of June and Quincy, there was going to be two characters named Isadora and Wolfgang (after Isadora Duncan and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart).
    • The show had two pilots that were pitched to The Baby Einstein Company. The first pilot (then titled Little Einstein) ended up becoming a promo that was included in multiple Playhouse Disney and Baby Einstein DVDs and VHS tapes in 2003, the pilot shows the characters in a much earlier design than in the final show, with Leo and Annie looking close to the same, but Quincy and June have completely different designs and Rocket has a more simplified design.
    • In 2004, a second pilot was made, with the character's updated designs, but there were still some differences. The name of the show was still Little Einstein, Rocket's Garage was nowhere close to Leo and Annie's House like it is in the final series, being in a more industrial location, and the garage itself had a more warehouse look inside (It's also implied that how the kids found Rocket is completely different with them finding him in an abandoned warehouse), Rocket, while having his final design, seems to have been 2D drawn in some scenes and has a different jingle, Quincy is in the front row with Leo (where in the final he was in the back row with Annie and June was put to the front row with Leo), Leo having a prototype baton, and Rocket's seats were green.
