• Working Title: Entertainment in Extremis.
• What Could Have Been: Initially, Ron and Russell had planned to release the album under the pseudonym Lil' Beethoven rather than Sparks (as this rare promotional CD proves), to avoid it being pigeonholed with their previous work. However, as the group was at a commercial low around this time, they decided against it after realizing its release would go unnoticed.
  • Prior to the making of the album, the duo had already recorded a whole album's worth of songs in a similar style to their previous album Balls, but found they weren't enthusiastic with the results and so decided to start entirely from scratch.
