• Acting for Two: Louie Anderson voicing both his younger self and Andy.
• The Character Died with Him: Mary Wickes, the voice actress for Louie's maternal grandmother, died during the series' production. "The Thank You Note" was subsequently produced in memory of her, wherein Louie's grandmother died as well.
• Children Voicing Children: Louie's brother Tommy was voiced by Miko Hughes, who was eight at the time the show premiered.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The DVD is available in Poland, but only the first two seasons, and without English audio, though the entire series did eventually turn up on Youtube.
