- Executive Veto: A rare positive outcome. The original title for the album was supposed to be Don't Be a Faggot, but Def Jam distributor Columbia Records rejected the title, forcing them to change the name. Ad-Rock would later apologize for the original title.
- Parody Retcon: The band would later claim this album was designed to mock the frat-bro hyper-macho attitudes it appears to embrace. Many don't believe this, given that, among other things, the album was originally named Don't Be a Faggot. The music videos don't support the argument, either.
- Referenced by...: The album cover for Eminem's Kamikaze is a riff on the cover for Licensed to Ill.
