Trivia / Lemonade Mouth

• Defictionalization: The cast performed as Lemonade Mouth on So Random!. Due to the songs' simplicity, they even managed to play their instruments (or at least accurately mime them if they are in fact playing along to a recording). Either way, you can tell the main cast really are musicians.
• Fake American: Naomi Scott, a half-Indian, half-Caucasian British actress, here portrays an Indian-American high school student, which explains the accent if you heard her speak in real life.
• Stillborn Franchise: Lemonade Mouth was originally promoted on Disney Channel as a musical franchise akin to High School Musical or Camp Rock, with a sequel announced in 2011 after the first film's success. However, the sequel was cancelled because everybody thought the first movie wrapped things up well enough, and no future material was produced for the franchise.
