• Box Office Bomb: Budget, $100 million. Box office, $69,548,641. The film opened the same weekend as The Hangover, which proved to be much more popular with both critics and audiences.
• Creator Backlash: Ron Meyer, head of Universal, would later on call the movie "crap" in an interview.
• Creator Killer: Brad Silberling wouldn't direct another film for 8 years and that film ultimately went straight to video. He has managed to find success as an executive producer for television though.
• Star-Derailing Role: Though Will Ferrell would continue acting in the ensuing decade, this role put a dent in his reputation as a leading man. Most of his roles since have been as a co-star or voiceover.
