• What Could Have Been: According to Midge Ure in an interview with Event magazine, the original idea for the album cover was to use an all-black sleeve as a way of providing "minimal advertising" for the record. The idea was ultimately vetoed after an identical concept was used in This is Spın̈al Tap, just a month prior to the album's release date; Ure considered the execution of the idea "rubbish" and stated that Ultravox had dodged a bullet in not using it.
