Trivia / Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear

Go To

  • Bonus Material:
    • Each episode of the anime (except for episode nine) ends with a Yonkoma-type short titled "Kuma Miko-chan".
    • The first DVD/BD volume of the anime in Japan contains an OVA episode of an event that occurs when Machi and Natsu were younger. There is also an original manga chapter (in booklet format) drawn by the original author of the series, Masume Yoshimoto.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices:
    • Yuko Sanpei as Tamotsu, the snotty-kid that is friends with Shota and Kaori.
    • Ayaka Asai as Shouta, who is usually the only one of the kids who is still scared of Natsu.
  • Disowned Adaptation: Not long after the anime's finale was aired, Masume Yoshimoto posted a passionate and polite-worded response on his blog about how he was heavily displeased with it (especially with how Yoshio was portrayed in it, mentioning that "he would never say such a cruel thingnote ). The post has since been deleted, but it got archived and spread widely online shortly after it disappeared from Yoshimoto's blog.
  • Playing Against Type: While not being the first time, hearing Hiroki Yasumoto, a voice actor well-known for voicing hunky, angry guys like Asura or Guile, voicing a cute, nice, talking bear like Natsu is pretty unusual.
