• Banned in China: She is considered Persona Non Grata in China, due to an incident in late September 2020 where, while working under her corporate persona at the time, Taiwan was shown in her channel analytics. This led to the bilibili account of KSon's corpo persona, as well as the bilibili account of one of her fellow talents (who had also accidentally shown off Taiwan in her channel analytics the night prior), being banned, and their agency eventually making their complete exit from the Chinese market later that year (which included the closure of their Chinese branch as well the graduation of its talents) as a result of pro-CCP nationalist toxicity being hurled not only at the agency but also its Japanese branch talents. The Persona Non Grata status stuck with KSon even after she had graduated from her corpo persona in July 2021, as when she was announced as a guest for a major livestream by publisher PLAYISM taking place in September the same year, she was un-invited at the last minute as a result of the publisher's Chinese branch being warned about said previous corpo persona, and the resultant mess from this led to the entire livestream getting canned.
• Colbert Bump:
  • Her channel suddenly exploded in popularity among western viewers after the graduation of Kiryu Coco^note Coco and Kson have very similar voices, tastes in content... and husbandos., with fans flocking at the chance for someone who was basically her but without the limit on potentially unsavoury content that naturally came with being backed by a major corporation.
  • Her channel has also served to provide other Vtubers with a platform to garner some more fans of their own, with one particular example being Daimonji Ryugon, a second-generation member of VOMS Project who had debuted a few weeks before his appearance on GMMF. Another example is ASMR streamers Guutara (ぐーたら) and Rika (利香), whose contents were mostly ASMR videos until collabing with Kson.
• Executive Meddling: Her Banned in China status also applies to any non-Chinese agency with a large presence on bilibili (eg. Nijisanji, which has a Chinese branch called VirtuaReal). During an ARK: Survival Evolved stream in late November 2022, in response to a warning from a viewer that she might not be able to join a big server meant for Japanese streamers due to the presence of Nijisanji livers on it, she confirmed that none of this agency's talents are allowed to collab or even interact with her in any way, shape, or form, as well as laying out the reason she even knows of this prohibition in the first place: the handful of Nijisanji livers who are fans of her had, in additional to sending her messages of support and whatnot, informed her of the existence of said prohibition via clandestine means, such as via their personal accounts.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: Kson permanently retired her old Daikou avatar in January 2022, due to Illusion announcing that the app that the avatar was made in, vKatsu^note A version of their Koikatsu h-game stripped down to its character creator, specifically for making vTuber avatars, would be shutting down in June the same year, and terms included with the shutdown notice indicate that it is prohibited to post, distribute, or sell any images or video content using the avatars after the end of the service.
