Trivia / Kitty Is Not a Cat

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Tons of the actors play various main and recurring characters, such as:
    • Rove McManus voices King Tubby, Cheeta, and Last Chance.
    • Rachel King voices Timmy Tom, Miley, Luna, and Olive Stinkleton.
    • Rupert Degas plays Pierre, Ming, Mr. Clean, Happy, and Harold Stinkleton.
    • Cal Wilson plays Petal and Thorn.
    • Jamie Aditya plays Spook and the mice.
    • Marg Downey plays the narrator and Stanley Stinkleton.
  • Bad Export for You: After a long time of not even getting any release at all, the United States finally got to see all 52 episodes on The Roku Channel. On top of the Invisible Advertising when it was on the app, the show was removed without notice only a few months later. Eventually rescued by Kidoodle.
  • Channel Hop / Saved By The Network: A few examples with some territories that had originally aired the show on Disney Channel:
    • In Poland, the show went to TVP ABC.
    • In the Middle East, the show went to Dreamworks Channel, of all channels. Was made more accessible once it began airing on MBC3 as well.
  • Crossdressing Voices:
    • Timmy Tom is voiced by a girl, Rachel King.
    • Less obviously, Stanley Stinkleton is voiced by Marg Downey.
  • Out of Order: In Spain, the order the episodes are broadcasted is completely rearranged. The first episode broadcasted there was "The Arrival" (Episode 39), which kinda makes sense considering it tells the origin of when Kitty arrived at the cat house.
  • Series Hiatus: In the middle of season two, 7TWO stopped airing any more episodes past the 30th on November 19, 2019, and at the time of writing the hiatus is still ongoing... leading to a case of Short Run in Peru.
  • Screwed by the Network: Disney Channel picked up the show in a few territories, and at first treated it pretty well in their selection of countries, with lots of advertisement and slots on the schedule. Eventually though, the show would cease airing on all Disney feeds by 2020 with no reason as to why, and with the worst timing ever as season 2 never got to be aired at all.
  • Short Run in Peru: During season 2, the show went on a sudden long hiatus in Australia after episode 30. Because of this, Poland ended up finishing the season early, and these episodes were also released on VOD in the UK. Poland went further as to start airing season 3 late 2021, when Australia was still on their hiatus.
  • Unfinished Dub: Thanks to the show being Screwed by the Network (Disney in this case), it's highly unlikely that the Bulgarian, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Romanian, and Turkish dubs will ever get to go on to dub season 2 since they currently have no other channel to go to.
  • What Could Have Been: What was shown of the 2016 teaser (that is implied to be the pilot) indicates that the show was initially slightly Darker and Edgier than it ended up being. On top of that, The Nazz had a different design (and a smaller piano), Petal had a much curvier figure and her eyes were shut a lot like Happy's, and two other characters (Blossom and Rose) were meant to be in the main crew as well. Rose later became Thorn's sister in the Season 2 episode Every Thorn Has Its Rose.
  • Wiki Vandal: On January 3, 2021, a Wikipedia account called "BES Animation" added all supposed 26 episode titles of season 3 to the show's episode list article, when nothing outside of the season being produced was revealed beforehand. It was eventually revealed as fake when the real season 3 episode titles were revealed.
