• Acting for Two:
  • Stu Rosen, the series' voice director, voiced both Stuckey and Floyd, the latter being the first half of the series' antagonists.
  • Lenny and his father were both voiced by Lennie Weinrib.
  • Russi Taylor managed to outdo them all with such characters as Beehonie, Toot, Miss Emmy Lou, the Cackle Sisters, and even Donna.
• Channel Hop: When the show was Un-Canceled, Saban Entertainment replaced DiC Entertainment as the animation studio.
• Cross-Dressing Voices:
  • Toot is voiced by Russi Taylor, and Jolene is voiced by Terence McGovern in the original English version.
  • The same goes in the Latin American Spanish dub, as Toot is voiced by Ariadna Rivas and Jolene by Mario Castañeda. It should be noted, however, that Jolene is addressed as a male in this dub.
• The Danza: Lennie Weinrib as Lenny.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The show hasn't been rerun much since NBC last aired it in 1990. The VHS releases are extremely rare and date from the 80s. However, the show has been made available digitally as of The New '10s.
• Kids' Meal Toy: McDonald's sold a set of eight character figures in their Happy Meals in 1987. These consisted of Kissyfur, Gus, Beehonie, Duane, Toot, Lennie, Floyd, and Jolene.
• Screwed by the Network: The show was initially canceled after one season, but fans didn't take the cancellation lightly and demanded that it return. After the cancellation of Foofur and the failure of Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series, NBC listened to viewer feedback and revived the show for the Fall 1988 season. While NBC again canceled the series after that season (again for ratings issues), they continued rerunning it for two years until they abruptly pulled the series in favor of NBA Inside Stuff.
• Uncanceled: The show was brought back for a second and final season in 1988.
