  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Of all the various versions of the game that were created, only SCI version 1.006.004 has been re-released digitally and through the numerous compilations issued over the years. The original SCI release (with the separate, more detailed day and night screens), the AGI version and various ports to other platforms have, to date, never been officially reissued.
  • Killer App: The game was one of the first to support sound cards, making them a must-have for PC gamers. Both the Ad Lib and Roland MT-32 became de facto standards for game music in the late '80s and early '90s.
  • Multi-Disc Work: The game comes on four 3½'' disks or eight 5¼'' disks. The AGI version which runs at a lower resolution, has simpler music, and is generally less resource-heavy comes on three 3½'' disks or six 5¼'' disks.
  • What Could Have Been: In Sierra's promo 1987 catalog, the cover art for the game was quite different. It showed Lolotte ripping the magic talisman from Genesta's neck. The background was some sort of castle, maybe Lolotte's, which is odd, since in-game, Genesta said her talisman was stolen when she was strolling in the woods.
