- Beam Me Up, Scotty!: A character of Kingdom Hospital at one point says, "Time is nature's way of keeping everything from happening all at once." The quote is never cited or attributed to anybody, or listed in the show's end credits as belonging to anybody. The quote is most often attributed to John Archibald Wheeler, a physicist, and Ray Cummings, a fiction writer. Stephen King skirts plagiarism with this one, but considering that the quote has been falsely attributed to everyone from Albert Einstein to Mark Twain, in all fairness the original authorship of the quote is shaky at best to start with[1]
. - Screwed by the Network: Feeling there wasn't enough promotion, Stephen King used several hundred thousand dollars of his own money to buy print ads; the network then changed the show's timeslot to compete with CSI, so the ads gave the wrong time and this show was obscured.
