• Out of Holiday Episode: The episode, although set on Halloween, aired on January 12, 2003 possibly due to the violent content of the episode.
• Urban Legend of Zelda: A longstanding rumor of the episode was that the ending was much Darker and Edgier when it first aired, with Trip's corpse being visible, and having to be removed in reruns. In 2022, a tape from the original airing of the episode from 2003 would show this wasn't the case; the episode did not have the corpse even when first released and Trip was still Killed Offscreen.
• What Could Have Been: Originally the episode was scheduled to air during season 5 but was postponed due to its violent content.
