• Creator In-Joke: Part of Boomhauer's rant to the CSA agent is an almost word for word copy of the infamous rant from the guy who inspired Boomhauer's voice.
• What Could Have Been: The first draft of the script written by Mike Judge was going to have the storyline of the Hills meeting the Souphanousinphone family, but Greg Daniels suggested that be saved for a later episode. It would finally be made in the episode "Westie Side Story".
