- In Memoriam: The original 1996 release features a dedication at the very beginning for Barbara Jordan, leader of the Civil Rights Movement and the first African-American elected as Texas Senator; she had died in January of that year.
- Orphaned Reference: In Choices Count, the Wishbone segment randomly starts with Wishbone declaring, "Good thing!" In the episode this was taken from, "Little Big Dog," this was the second half of a Conversation Cut that went like this:Ruth: Emily cannot wait to see Wishbone.
Ellen: I'll bet.
Wishbone: Ooh, is that a good thing or a bad thing? [cut to Emily feeding Wishbone cookies] Good thing! - What Could Have Been: During the video's pre-production, Lyrick Studios reached out to Sesame Workshop about contributing a Sesame Street segment to the video or at least the use of several Sesame characters in the video. Sesame Workshop, whom had a heated rivalry with Lyrick in the 90s, never returned the message.
