  • Bad Export for You: While it's not a deal breaker, the international releases from the first game cut some material from the cutscenes.
    • An animation and title card at the beginning of each stage wherein a tanuki unravels a scroll containing the title.
    • Two tutorials by Dr. Pon explaining some mechanics and his mooks from the first two stages.
    • Rami had a few monologues before certain stages that were not dubbed and simply cut.
    • In general most non-important text was removed. Thankfully it's minimal.
  • Colbert Bump: Was rather obscure before it was featured on JonTron.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: This game is not easy to come by in the wild, and it will bleed your wallet dearly when it does so. Not even the game's demo is cheap, due to the fact that the entire game can be accessed from it via a cheat code.
  • No Export for You: Only the first game in the series got a worldwide release. The second game in the series was only released in Japan and Europe, and the Gaiden Game was only released in Japan.
