• Creator Breakdown: At one point, Daichi Sorayomi overworked himself on the manga to the point that he passed out.
• Defictionalization: 2017 had a Keijo group pop up in Portugal.
• Dueling Shows: With Yuri!!! on Ice, another sports series that aired in the fall of 2016, but in contrast that series revolves around a real sport (figure skating) and features a Cast Full of Pretty Boys. They were also both Crunchyroll/Funimation co-licenses, as this was back when the two companies were still in a partnership. While Keijo!!!!!!!! was heavily advertised at the beginning of the season by both companies, Yuri!!! on Ice would ultimately supplant it completely once it really took off, both in advertising and in popularity.
• Screwed by the Network: When the anime was first announced, Shogakukan had Sorayomi finish the manga after it was broadcast, leaving it incomplete. Fortunately, Sorayomi made up for this matter by adding extra chapters to the 16th, 17th and 18th compilation volumes to complete his story.
