• Write Who You Know: According to an interview with Data East developers from Arcade Gamer Vol. 2, Karnov was based on their senior executive called Jinbo. When the relation became obvious after the Famicom release, whose manual even revealed his full name as Jinborov Karnovski, he was said to be furious.
