  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The first releases of the game contain a Quranic verse in Asad's theme which would be considered blasphemous in Islam. An Arab speaker at Microsoft objected to the inclusion of the verse due to the controversy it would cause, but Microsoft chose to release the game anyway, hoping that players would not notice. However, it was released during a very politically tense time, right in the middle of The War on Terror, and drew protests from Middle Eastern governments. Despite second release batch replacing the Quranic verses in the soundtrack, the damage to the reputation is already done, and Microsoft refuses to promote the game anymore.
