Trivia / Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie

• Acting for Two: Kenji Ohba not only reprises his role as Retsu Ichijouji (Space Sheriff Gavan), he also reprises his two major roles in Super Sentai, Shirou Akebono (Battle Kenya) from Battle Fever J and Daigorou Oume (Denzi Blue) from Denshi Sentai Denziman.
• Actor Allusion: At the very end of the film, Kenji Ohba's characters, Retsu, Shrou, and Daigorou, are all standing together on-camera, with Daigorou's arm resting on Retsu's shoulder. This was a very difficult shot to do, since they were filmed outside and not in a green screen studio.
• Milestone Celebration: Of the Metal Heroes' 30th year.
• Role Reprise: Kenji Ohba returns as Retsu Ichijouji (Space Sheriff Gavan) as well as Shirou Akebono (Battle Kenya) and Daigorou Oume (Denzi Blue).
• What Could Have Been: Whilst Don sharing his name with Gavan's long-dead Big Bad is Played for Laughs here, it was apparently considered at one point that he would be infact be the grandson of Don Horror.
• Word of Saint Paul: Voice actor Tomokazu Seki believes that his roles as the mysterious, godlike voice which asks the three Ohbas to transform together, much as the three Space Sheriffs were instructed at the end of Shaider, and the voice of the Earth's will which speaks through the Greatest Treasure in the Universe in Gokaiger, are one and the same.
