- Acting for Two:
- The late Tony Pope played multiple roles in the early games. For example, he voiced Mr. Hopsalot and Bebop in the 1994 and 1997 versions of JumpStart Kindergarten, as well as Professor Sparks and most of the male robots in JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade: Mystery Mountain.
- Jeannie Elias plays all four members of the Preschool Gang and Felicia the Fish for the original versions of Preschool and Pre-K, in addition to Polly Sparks and Botley in 3rd Grade and Typing.
- Kevin Schon voices the dog, the fish, the monkey, the eel, the waterlily and the lizard in JumpStart Toddlers, as well as CJ and Arvin in JumpStart 2nd Grade.
- This carries over into the JumpStart Advanced series. For example, Dee Bradley Baker voices Frankie and Edison, Joshua Seth voices CJ and Pierre, Kath Soucie voices Eleanor and Lucy, and Brianne Siddall voices Hopsalot and Casey.
- Cross-Dressing Voices:
- Jeannie Elias as the male Casey Cat, Pierre Polar Bear and Botley.
- Tony Pope would sometimes voice female characters as well. For example, he played Bonnie Bunny in the 1994 release of Kindergarten.
- Mr. Hopsalot was later played by the female Brianne Siddall in the JumpStart Advanced series.
- Direct to Video: Two animated videotapes were included with early 2000s re-releases of JumpStart Preschool and JumpStart Kindergarten.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes:
- The original JumpStart Adventures 4th Grade: Haunted Island has had no rerelease, but given the fact that the game is almost like a Survival Horror...well, maybe it's best to save that until they're more mature!
- The original release of 1995's JumpStart 1st Grade, where Frankie had a deep voice with a lisp, is harder to find on the internet than the later releases of that game.
- Orphaned Reference: In JumpStart Animal Adventures, the opening song lists six biomes, but there are only four in the actual game. The other two, the desert and the Arctic, were apparently planned but scrapped. This leaves two of the six tadpoles without an environment to explore.
- Recursive Adaptation: There are two games based off of the two VHS tapes: JumpStart Learning Games: ABC's and JumpStart Learning Games: Phonics, based off Who Left the Juice in the Caboose? and Why Did the Bus Stop? respectively.
