Trivia / JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade: Mystery Mountain

Go To

  • Acting for Two:
    • Jeannie Elias is the voice of Botley, Polly, and Ms. Winkle. So, all the conversations between Botley and Polly — the two lead characters, mind you — consist of Elias talking to herself. Likewise, the TransQuizzer interactions are between Polly and Ms. Winkle, which is also Elias talking to herself. Come to think of it, we hardly ever see Polly interacting with anyone who's not Botley or Ms. Winkle.
    • Besides Professor Spark, the late Tony Pope voices Maestro Trombot, Mort, Bothoven, Egbert, Monty Monitor, the biosphere probe and one of the observatory narrators.
    • Pat Lentz voices Mrs. Beasley and one of the observatory narrators.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Jeannie Elias is the voice of Botley.
  • No Export for You: Unlike earlier JumpStart games, this one was never released in the U.K. as a Jump Ahead title.
  • Real-Life Relative: Tony Pope and Pat Lentz were husband and wife before Pope's passing.
  • Technology Marches On: After the era of Zoom classes, Ms. Winkle's TransQuizzer doesn't come off as the technological novelty that it did in the '90s.
  • What Could Have Been
    • Polly was intended to sing her own Villain Song at one point, as evidenced by a placeholder voice clip that was stored among the audio for the mountain's entrance door.
    • Mystery Mountain looked moderately different; the mountain itself had a more rounded peak, was brown instead of dark grey and was situated by a body of water.
    • Ms. Winkle was originally portrayed as a more older-looking white woman wearing glasses.
    • One early image of the time machine had Mort present, despite the fact he wasn't one of the missing robots.
