Trivia / Judge Rinder

• Cast the Expert: Though unlike his American counterpart he's never actually been a sitting judge, Rinder is a highly qualified and experienced defence barrister, specialising in high financial crimes such as international fraud and having tried cases (including murder cases) in front of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
• Never Work with Children or Animals: While most of the animals brought into the courtroom do cooperate with the judge and/or the parties, there are a few exceptions. One dog nearly dragged Michelle around the room, two dogs (who got married as part of a charity event) decided to "consumate the marriage" in the courtroom and a goat opted to relieve themselves on the carpet (much to Rinder's amusement).
• What Could Have Been: Rinder was initially looking to do a new version of Crown Court.
