Trivia / Joy Mech Fight

Go To

  • Dummied Out: Two fighters: a Tin-Can Robot and a Monster Clown. They may have been replaced by Giganto and John, considering the Mighty Glacier mold (and similar facial features) of the tin-can bot and Giganto's designs, and the clown and John both have Energy Balls above their heads that they can use to attack. Gel may also have replaced the Tin-Can Robot, rather than Giganto, as Gel and John's data in the game appears in a different place to every other character's data. In addition, neither Gel nor John have any unique animations, instead reusing animations from other characters. This could hint that the characters were rushed additions.
  • Late Export for You: Joy Mech Fight would remain exclusive to Japan for thirty years until it was made available for international audiences as part of the Nintendo Switch Online NES app. Until then, the only official exposure this game had in the West was a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and an assist trophy in Ultimate.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Western players mostly know about the game through Sukapon's minor appearances in the Super Smash Bros. series, particularly as one of the Assist Trophy characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
  • What Could Have Been: The game had the Working Title of Battle Battle League and Sukapon had a more detailed design. In that version, defeated robots are decapitated with their bodies remaining upright instead of exploding.
