• The Cast Showoff:
  • Lily Orchard got a lot of opportunities to sing when she collabed with Josh for the "Over a Barrel" review.
  • Oftentimes, when Josh does video game countdowns and videos, the gaming footage will be recorded by him of himself actually playing, often very well.
• Colbert Bump: Top Ten Fan Made Villain Songs resulted in just about every entry on the list, and their creators by extension, getting a massive boost in viewership.
• Creator Backlash: Josh considers "Top 10 Disappointing Final Bosses" one of the worst videos he has ever made (though not because of most of the entries he put on that list). He remade the list in August 2020.
• Flip-Flop of God: A while back on his Twitter, he mentioned how he considers Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to be a fun game. However, he contradicted those statements on tumblr months later, saying that he actually skipped the game.
  • However Josh managed to avert this, by clarifying on tumblr that he mixed up Advanced Warfare with Call of Duty: Ghosts as the game from 2014, and the original post was actually him referring to Ghosts as the one he skipped playing.
• Throw It In!: Josh states in this short that him accidently refering Shadow as "Edgehog" before correcting himself in "Top 10 Rivalries" was not improvised. It really was just a slip of the tongue.
• Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Josh, during his early days, made three response videos to fellow YouTubers in which he criticized their arguments they displayed in a video. Because of most of his fanbase's tendency to harass the people he made response videos to- including death threats- Josh decided to stop doing response videos altogether. With one final exception vis-a-vis the falling out he had with Lily Orchard, and even then he only did so at great reluctance.
• What Could Have Been: Josh was among the seventy-five critics Channel Awesome nearly picked up in the 2014 Talent Search. In hindsight, him not being picked up might have been a blessing since he ended up avoiding all the drama, scandals and mismanagement around the site at April 2018.
