• Bonus Material: The entirety of Jojo Moments, a series of comedy micro-shorts from 1994, is bonus material on the German DVD's, at least.
• Completely Different Title: Germany-based Black Hill Pictures released the special on home video under two different titles: Jojo - Die Geschichte einer wahren Freundschaft (The Story of a True Friendship) and Jojo - Ein Wintermärchen (A Winter Story).
• No Export for You: As with the source comics, the special was virtually never exported to industrialized English-speaking markets, although it was promoted for licensors. The English dub can be watched by importing one of the DVD's (which may be region-locked) that contains it as an audio track. There is an Indian DVD with the special's English title, which is possibly the only home release of the special under its English title.
