• Creator Backlash: Sanrio seemingly isn't very proud of Kira Deco, which explains why the Blu-ray release only includes a few select episodes.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Midori Akagi is voiced by a woman since he's only 9.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: When Sanrio uploaded the series to their YouTube channel, the opening and ending themes to the show were cut because of rights issues with Universal Music, who owns the rights to Mana Ashida's music. Compare this to the other seasons, which at least had the opening and ending credits intact.
• Trolling Creator: Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (in charge of series composition) trolled older audiences big time when the true nature of Kira Deco's villain was revealed.
