Trivia / Jericho (1966)

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: An unintentional example because the shows were made at the same time, but fans of The Rat Patrol won't be surprised if they watch "Upbeat and Underground" and see Hans Gudegast (aka Eric Braeden) as yet another German officer who almost stops the Allied heroes.
  • Fake Nationality: only one of the main characters is played by someone of the same nationality! American Franklin Shepphard is played by Canadian Don Francks, French Jean-Gaston André is played by Italian Marino Masé, British Nicholas Gage was played non-Fake Brit John Leyton.
  • Follow the Leader: The series did this in two ways.
    • The Wild Wild West had already combined Spy Fiction with The Western. Jericho followed its example by putting its spies in a historical era that was popular with contemporary audiences. (Both series aired on the same network.)
    • The series was made by Arena Productions and MGM, the same companies behind The Man from U.N.C.L.E., who hoped that this spy series would be equally successful.
