- Separated-at-Birth Casting: Though they may not be related in real life, Jason Jordan does look like he could be Kurt Angle's biracial son, especially since Kurt has dated a few black women in real life.
- What Could Have Been: Many fans can't help but wonder how his teased Face–Heel Turn would have turned out were it not for his serious neck injury. In fact, WrestleCrap went from putting the storyline of him being Angle's son on the long list of nominees for the Gooker Award at the end of 2017 to putting it on a list of storylines that actually turned out to be good (or in this case, had a lot of potential) at the end of 2018 because it led to said heel turn tease. And especially when Kurt Angle later revealed that Jordan was originally slated to be his opponent in Angle's retirement match at WrestleMania 34, instead of the much-reviled (in the X-Pac Heat sense) Baron Corbin.
