- Keep Circulating the Tapes: No VHS or DVD releases. For that matter, this series hasn't even been shown on Cartoon Network or Boomerang, despite the fact that NBC gave Jana her own half-hour time slot in November and December 1978.
- Why Jana of the Jungle was not aired is a mystery. Warner Archive has mentioned they will probably eventually release the series. There doesn't appear to be any clearance issue in the way.

- What Could Have Been: The series was conceived in 1973. Development layout drawings, acquired by Van Eaton Galleries in January 2015, show Jana and Montaro peering through the jungle foliage.
