• Died During Production: Dilla completed 75% of The Shining before succumbing to his illness. Before his death, he entrusted Karriem Riggins to finish the remainder of the album.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: While a decent chunk of the tracks from his various beat tapes saw official releases over the years, there's many that are still floating around in unofficial uploads, pressed on bootlegs, or being held onto by collectors, including stuff made for the Soulquarians and other artists.
• Uncredited Role: As mentioned on the main page, there's been many times where Dilla wasn't properly credited for the production or remixes he did for other artists, particularly during his time under the Ummah banner, where much of his work was assumed to have been done by Q-Tip, which caused tension between Dilla and the rest of the crew. Dilla also claimed to have produced the original mix of Janet Jackson's "Got Til It's Gone", but was only credited for the remix.
• What Could Have Been: Donuts was originally going to be another one of Dilla's standard beat tapes until Stones Throw Records CEO Peanut Butter Wolf practically begged the former to release it commercially on his label.
