• Creator Backlash: The movie was based off the Golden Turkey Awards book written by Henry and Michael Medved, and they were hired as consultants. When the movie was made, the producers and crew aimed for an Affectionate Parody take on the bad films rather than the scathing put-downs the Medved brothers preferred. The Medveds were so incensed by it they wrote a follow-up book Hollywood Hall of Shame to express their discontent.
